One master unit that records wireless conditions where you place it. A focused starting point for one affected room.

One location cannot establish whether the same change occurred elsewhere on your site.

What is NetChrona?

Record what changes.
Compare where it happens.

NetChrona combines a master recorder, optional stationary monitoring nodes and a post-hire review. It helps you build evidence about changing Wi-Fi conditions where connectivity matters.

01 / POSITION

Put the problem in context.

Place the master in the area you want to investigate. Add a stationary node for each additional location, such as a reference room where the connection usually works well.

02 / RECORD

Let normal working life happen.

Repeated observations give intermittent issues a wider investigation window than a quick spot check. Note when and where people experience problems so those reports can be considered alongside the recordings.

03 / UNDERSTAND

Get findings, not just graphs.

Return the kit and we personally review the recorded evidence. Your full report is emailed within 24 hours of receipt, with an explanation of the findings and practical next steps.

Choosing a WiFi troubleshooting service

Site survey or
longer-term observation?

A conventional WiFi site survey and a NetChrona investigation answer different questions. Tell us what is happening so we can help you choose an appropriate scope.

Onsite WiFi site survey

A specialist visits your building to measure coverage and investigate the agreed problem. This is often the right starting point for access-point placement, coverage mapping or validating an installation.

NetChrona hire

You position the supplied units and leave them recording over your chosen weeks. This gives intermittent problems a longer observation window. We review the evidence after return and explain the findings and remaining uncertainties.

Permanent monitoring

Ongoing monitoring is a better fit when your team needs continuing operational visibility and response. NetChrona is a time-limited investigation with a post-hire report; it does not include a staffed response service.

When NetChrona can help

Sound familiar?

For businesses, site managers and IT support teams trying to get beyond “the Wi-Fi isn’t working again”.

THE INTERMITTENT FAULT

“It works whenever someone checks.”

Leave the nodes in place through normal working days. Compare recorded conditions with the times people report trouble, rather than hoping a brief visit catches the same symptoms.

THE PROBLEM LOCATION

“It’s always that meeting room.”

Observe the affected room alongside other locations. Build evidence about differences in the access points and signal levels seen in each area.

THE BUSY PERIOD

“It gets worse when we’re busy.”

Look for changes around the reported times: visible networks, signal levels, channels and access-point-reported load where available. Use the evidence to guide further investigation.

THE BEFORE & AFTER

“We’ve changed things. Has it helped?”

Compare observations before and after an agreed network change, keeping node positions and working conditions as consistent as possible.

The evidence behind the report

What does
NetChrona record?

A record of the wireless environment, with optional connectivity checks to add context. The emphasis is on what was actually observed, where it was observed and how it changed.

Signal levels over time
Received signal strength from visible access points, helping you compare observations at different locations and times.
Channels and nearby networks
Network names, individual access points, primary channels and advertised channel widths. See the wireless surroundings, not just your own router.
Advertised network details
Frequency bands and advertised security settings, keeping distinct access points separate even when they share the same network name.
Access-point-reported load
Advertised station counts and channel utilisation where the access point provides them. Missing information stays unknown, rather than being guessed.
Optional connectivity checks
With your permission, basic reachability and response-time checks to agreed devices or servers. These add context; they are not full speed or application-performance tests.
Targeted client observations
Short, authorised observations of traffic to a selected access point can show device addresses, observed frame counts and retries. They do not record message contents or provide a complete list of every connected device.

We distinguish observations from conclusions. Channel overlap alone does not prove interference, and an unanswered connectivity check does not necessarily mean a device is down.

Why hire NetChrona?

An investigation.
Not another subscription.

A short-term, multi-location investigation with local recording and a personally reviewed report. Use it to complement your existing IT tools without adopting a permanent monitoring platform.

  • More time than a spot check. Give intermittent issues a wider observation window across normal working days.
  • An independent perspective. Wireless observations do not depend on access to a particular manufacturer’s controller.
  • Local recording, no cloud dashboard required. Collection works without internet access. Nodes need a network connection to send their observations to the hub.
  • No software roll-out across your computers. The monitoring runs on the supplied equipment, with a local touchscreen on the hub.
  • Hire for the investigation. No equipment purchase or ongoing monitoring subscription. UK delivery and insured return are included.

What you receive

A report you
can act on.

After the kit reaches us, we review the recordings and email your full report within 24 hours of receipt.

  1. The findings in plain English.A clear summary of the conditions observed and the questions the evidence helps answer.
  2. Supporting observations.Relevant signal, channel and connectivity evidence, with location and timing context where available.
  3. Practical next steps.Recommendations and suggested checks you can discuss with your IT team or network provider.
  4. Clarity about uncertainty. What the recordings establish, what remains uncertain and where further testing would help.

Tell us where
the Wi-Fi lets you down.

Describe your site, the affected rooms, when the problem happens and what you have already tried. We can discuss whether a focused recording, a comparison between locations or a different type of investigation would help.
