NetChrona hire bookings and recordings

For equipment hire we keep your selected dates, kit and node allocation, prices and tax, accepted hire terms, payment reference and status, and dispatch, return and report-delivery records. Stripe collects your name, email, telephone number and delivery address at checkout and returns those details to our private booking system. We use them to fulfil the hire, arrange delivery and return, email your report and handle support or refunds. Necessary delivery details are shared with the carrier. Booking and payment records follow the purchase/accounting retention described below. A random checkout reference and your selected dates are held in browser session storage to prevent duplicate checkout requests. We do not receive or store your full card details.

During an authorised NetChrona investigation, the supplied equipment records wireless-environment observations used to prepare your report. Depending on the agreed investigation these can include network names (SSIDs), access-point and observed client device addresses, signal levels, channels, advertised access-point load, frame counts and retries, timestamps and customer-supplied location labels, plus results from optional basic connectivity checks. NetChrona does not record message contents. We use these observations only to deliver the investigation, report and related support. We keep the recordings and report working material only for as long as reasonably needed to complete the report, answer related questions, resolve a complaint or claim, and meet applicable legal duties, then securely delete them.

Who controls your information

IT IT IT LTD, company number 07966114, is the controller for personal information handled through this website. Our registered office is 3 Furze Hollow, Tower Hill Road, Dorking, England, RH4 2DQ. Privacy enquiries can be sent to enquires@ititit.co.uk.

Information we handle

Our server records technical request data such as IP address, date and time, page or file requested, referring page, browser and device user-agent, response status, and connection duration. On NetChrona, a deliberate previous or next calendar action records the month opened as part of the same access log, so we can estimate genuine interest and separate known bots. The Software Centre also records product views, basket additions, checkout starts, confirmed purchases, authorised downloads, and any discount code used against a random identifier that lasts only for the current browser session. When you buy software, we collect the name and email address you enter for order fulfilment and support, along with the products ordered, Stripe or PayPal order and payment identifiers, payment status, country where available, and licence-email delivery status. For licensed software we also store the product and licence status, purchased seat count, an encrypted licence key, a one-way device identifier, a customer-chosen device name, application version, activation and last-check dates, and activation/deactivation history. If you submit a product review, we store your chosen display name, rating, review text, moderation status, and the internal licence record used to confirm you are a purchaser; the licence key is never published. When you create a support ticket, we store your name, email address, ticket messages, ticket access details, and any files you choose to send after we issue an upload pass. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVC, Windows password, or a general inventory of your computer.

Microsoft Store software

Cut & Stitch is installed, updated and, for its optional Premium upgrade, purchased through Microsoft Store. Microsoft handles the Microsoft account, payment and Store entitlement under its own privacy terms; IT IT IT LTD does not receive your card details or Microsoft password. Cut & Stitch accesses only media you select, save locations you choose and, when you deliberately record narration, your selected microphone. Video, audio, tracking and narration processing remains local. The app asks Windows whether the durable Premium entitlement is active but does not send IT IT IT LTD your media, filenames, usage analytics or entitlement identity. If you contact our support team, we handle only the information you choose to provide in that separate support request.

Why we use it

We use order and licence information to form and perform the purchase contract, deliver downloads and updates, enforce the number of purchased device seats, provide self-service device replacement and offline activation, prevent fraud, handle support and refunds, and meet accounting or legal obligations. We use proportionate security and access-log information for our legitimate interests in operating, protecting, diagnosing, and understanding the website.

Discount codes and location checks

When you apply a discount code, we record the code, calculated amount, payment provider, order reference, and redemption status. If a code is restricted by country, we ask api.country.is for the country associated with the checkout IP address; we do not send that service your name, email address, basket, or order details. This location check is approximate and is used only to decide whether the code applies.

Who receives it

Stripe or PayPal processes direct ITITIT checkout, payment, fraud prevention, and related customer information under the chosen provider’s own privacy notice. IONOS processes the recipient address and purchase-email content when we send your licence keys and fulfilment details. Microsoft processes Microsoft Store installation, purchases, licences and updates under its own privacy terms. Our VPS hosting and infrastructure providers process limited technical information to operate the website. The private admin analytics and country-restricted discount checks can request a country associated with an IP address from api.country.is; they do not send names, email addresses, basket contents, or order details. We disclose information where legally required or necessary to establish or defend legal claims.

Cookies and local storage

The public website does not use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies. Your browser stores the contents of your basket locally on your device so it remains available between pages. If you open a support ticket, its reference and private access key are stored locally on that device so you can return to the conversation; you can remove them using “Close on this device”. A random Software Centre funnel identifier is kept in session storage and is discarded when the browser session ends; it is used only for our private first-party conversion totals. Stripe or PayPal may use cookies and similar technologies on its hosted checkout for security, fraud prevention, and payment. The password-protected admin area uses a strictly necessary sign-in session.

How long we keep it

Routine web access logs are rotated and normally retained for no more than 30 days, except where a security incident requires longer investigation. Purchase, discount, licence, refund, and accounting records may be retained while a perpetual licence remains usable and for up to six years after the relevant accounting period, or longer where the law requires. Deactivated device records may be retained to provide transfer history and prevent abuse. Approved reviews may remain public while the relevant product is offered; rejected or withdrawn reviews are removed when they are no longer needed for moderation or dispute handling. Support correspondence and uploaded files are kept only as long as reasonably needed to investigate the enquiry, handle any related dispute, and meet legal obligations, then securely removed.

International processing and security

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, appropriate legal safeguards apply. We use access controls, encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted service accounts, verified payment-provider webhooks, and minimal data collection, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and may withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Email us to exercise a right. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this notice when our services or legal duties change. The date above identifies the current version.
